Ladybug Reduction Print

This piece was created using a reduction printing technique, where each color layer is carved and printed from the same linoleum block in sequential stages. The print explores a hidden world beneath the forest floor, featuring insects, plants, and textures rendered in bold contrast. I carved and hand-printed each layer individually, carefully aligning the block between color passes to maintain registration. This project sharpened my understanding of layered composition, planning ahead, color theory, and balancing detail with negative space.
